Joan Bower - Dip Hyp, MNCH(acc), GQHP
Joan Bower, whilst working for social services in the Mental Health field, qualified as a counsellor in 1986.
On moving to Ashford she and her husband founded the Ashford Counselling Centre and Joan was involved in the training process running self-awareness groups for student counsellors.
She has been trained in debriefing for post traumatic stress disorder working with victims of actual and threatened violence.
Within CRUSE she has provided counselling for people who have been bereaved by suicide.
In 1990 she qualified in hypnotherapy with the International Association of Hypno-analysts and is currently an accredited member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and holds the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice and as such is on the General Hypnotherapy Register.
Joan has a wealth of experience in working with people of all ages. Within a caring and safe environment she uses an eclectic mix of skills in order to tailor her sessions to the client's individual needs.
She is recommended by many of the local GP Practices and is fully insured.
Joan is a practising member of the School of Surgical Chiropody and is a qualified Reflexologist and colour Therapist.

Margaret Silander - BSc(Hons), Dip Hyp, GHR(Affil)
Margaret qualified in 2004 with the International Association of Hypno-analysts and is currently an affiliate member of the General Hypnotherapy Council.
As well as assisting people to give up smoking, lose weight, deal with phobias etc, she has had considerable success with helping those with panic attacks, anxiety and with issues of self confidence and self esteem. However, her main interest is in the area of women's health and wellbeing, including PMT and other menstrual difficulties, menopausal problems, fertility and childbirth. In particular, Margaret is able to facilitate a more natural childbirth using hypnosis.
Margaret was a social worker with Kent Social Services for over 30 years working with elderly people and people with mental health problems.
She is a member of MIND, an approved foster carer for children with disabilities and a member of the NCT (National Childbirth Trust).
She is also fully insured and is subject to the enhanced disclosure issued by the Criminal Records Bureau C.
Margaret is practising member if the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and registered with the London Centre of Indian Champissage.

Jane Dunbar - BSc(Hons), Dip Hyp MBSCH, Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists
Jane trained in clinical hypnotherapy with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis in 1991 and consults in private practice.
She joined the Ashford Hypnotherapy Centre in 2006 and is a fully insured practitioner offering a comprehensive and sympathetic approach to the wide range of issues which hypnosis is known to benefit.
Jane holds a BSc(Hons) Degree in Psychology, a diploma in Podiatric Medicine and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis.
She is also subject to Enhanced disclosure issued by the Criminal Records Bureau.
Jane is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and an associate member of the Market Research Society.
